I have a B.S. from Heidelberg College and a Middle grades license for Language Arts and Social Studies. I joined the center in January of 2003 and worked in the Rainbow room (2-3 ½ yrs) till August 2005, when I moved to the Stars (3-5 yrs) classroom. I worked in the Stars till April 2007 and started in the Comets in August 2007 (after returning from maternity leave). It excites me when I hear the children talking to their friends and parents about the things that we are learning in our room. The funniest memory I have about this is the children telling their parents what really was in castle moats and what people and castles used instead of toilets. It still makes me laugh!

I have been a part of the TCC family since May of 2004. My first profession was as a cook, feeding young children. I became curious about the interesting things the children were doing in their classrooms and I decided I wanted to be a part of making a difference in a child's life. I have been working with the young toddlers, at TCC, I have introduced sign language to the children. I was amazed at how quickly the children learned from seeing my signs; they picked it up and used it as their own way of communitcating. Also, even though the children have passed through my toddler room, there is never a day that goes by that a graduate of mine doesn't stop in to see me. It is a great feeling.

I am a Swing Teacher for the Little Dippers and Clouds and have been with TCC since August 2005. I have seven years of experience with infants, toddlers, and some preschool. I have 1 1/2 years of college. I have three children ranging in ages from 8 to 12 years old. One of my positive memories while at TCC was on the first day when I started as the swing teacher for the Clouds and Little Dippers. A child that I had when I was teacher in the Little Dippers room, walked into the classroom and exclaimed, "My Ms. Pam 'tome' [come] 'bat' [back]!"

I have been at TCC since September 2005. I am currently attending Columbus State Community College working towards my Associate's degree in Early Childhood Development. I am a Co-teacher in the Stars classroom and feel that I have a lot to offer children emotionally. One of the most positive experiences that I’ve had with the children was when I arrived late one morning, and the children bombarded me with questions such as, “Why were you late?” and “Where were you?”. This was satisfying for me to know that the children have reached the ”comfortable” level with me and that my presence matters to them.

I am a teacher in the Little Dippers room and have been with TCC since March 2007. I have a CDA and am working on my Bachelor's degree with the University of Cincinnati's Early Childhood Learning Community. In our block area while on the floor a child told me, "these two are the same". The blocks were the same size but different colors. I took two other blocks that were the same colors and said, "they are the same". Then he looked at his two blocks and said, "I have red and green same size" with a bright expression.

I am a teacher in the Sunshines classroom and have been with TCC since September 2008. I have many years experience working with preschool children. I have an Associate degree from the University of Cincinnati and have taken several Early Childhood Education classes at Columbus State. I enjoy volunteering at church and at my children's school. My husband and I also spend a lot of time at our three children's sporting events. The thing I enjoy most about being at TCC is watching the children make new discoveries and reach new milestones.

I am a Sunshine care giver and have been with TCC since May 2009. I have a B.S. from Bowling Green State University in Human Development and Family Studies. One of my favorite things about being at TCC is when I walk into a room and see the children look like they are having fun and enjoying the activities.

| I am on the preschool team and have been at TCC since November 2010. I have been in the education field for over 30 years and have taught preschool through high school. I have 7 1/2 years of experience in preschool and was also the Education Coordinator for the Boys and Girls Club for 11 years. I have a B.A., M.A., and a preschool certificate as well as many workshops and trainings in the field of education. Since being at TCC I have heard many funny stories and experienced the kindnesses of the TCC family. The best however is, after a day off, a child says, "I missed you".

I began working at TCC in March of 2011. I currently work in the Galaxy room, which is our 3 and 4 year old room. In 2009, I graduated with a BFA in dance from Ohio University. Dancing was always my passion. However, during the summers I began teaching at a preschool and developed a new passion for children. After I graduated from OU, I began taking classes at Columbus State to earn my Early Childhood degree. I was lucky enough to start working at TCC soon after I graduated from CSCC. I have developed wonderful relationships not only with the children and families, but with the staff as well. I would have to say that my favorite thing about working at TCC would be the hugs I get from the kids. I will always remember the first time a child said, "I love you, Ms. Sarah."

I've been with TCC since June 2011 and am currently a Clouds teacher. I will be getting my Early Childhood Education degree in the winter of 2012 from Columbus State. I have years of experience with children in a variety of ways: babysitting, a personal special needs aide for a child for four years, and as a latch-key teacher. I have had several fun memories from just the short time I have been here at TCC. I would say that my favorite was during PDD (Professional Development Days) when four of my co-teachers squished into a telephone booth for a picture.

I am a floater-substitute and have been with TCC since September 2006. I have a B.A. in Communication Arts from the University of Cincinnati. One positive experience I have again and again is witnessing my young friends develop new skills. It's so exciting especially when they've been struggling with something for a while. I love singing and dancing with the children. So often that evokes laughter and what's better music than that?

My name is Lindsay Toohey. I started working as a sub here at TCC in June of 2011. I recently graduated from Columbus State Community College with an Associates degree in Early Childhood Development. This is my first job at a childcare center. I'm loving it a lot so far! One of my favorite moments so far at TCC happened while working in the Rainbow classroom. We were outside and I started singing songs with some of the children. We were singing 'Old McDonald' and every time I would pause to allow the children to suggest an animal one of the children would always say "a cow". So all the Rainbows definitely know how to sing "Old McDonald had a farm and on that farm he had a ...Cow!"

Hire date April 2011 I have ten years experience teaching preschool. Working with children I have many more years of experience, My oldest child is 26 years old and have taught Sunday school off and on for over 20 years. I work part-time with ages two and a half to three and a half, in a preschool setting as the lead teacher. I work as a subsitute at TCC with infants to school age. I received my associates degree from Columbus State in the year 2011 in Early Childhood Development. Going back to school later in life was a wonderful experience. Melissa Lane was one of my first instructors at Columbus State. I did two quarters of internship at TCC. One with the infants and one in administration. It was the experiences here that motivated me to stay as a subsitute. When I am with children, I love to share my favorite books. One positive experience I had at TCC happened when I shared a book with a group of children, and weeks later when I returned, a child as me if I was going to read that book again. That made me feel very special that I had made an impression.
