Welcome to the Clouds (16 mo's - 2 yrs)

The Clouds have a ratio of 2:10.

We like to put puzzles together while at school.
The emphasis in the Clouds room is on the development of language and self-help skills. At this age, every experience is a new adventure. We take advantage of this opportunity by introducing new words, which helps them to build the vocabulary needed to communicate well with others. We incorporate Ohio's Infant and Toddler Guidelines in all lesson planning.

It is our goal to provide a home-like environment that meets the physical, emotional, social, cognitive, and spiritual needs of every child. In the Clouds, we offer a curriculum that is built around the needs and development of the children. We prepare and offer activites that will foster their own creativity and strengthen their sense of self. These activities include music, language development, small and large muscle skills, Bible, creative art, and sensory.
Soap and water in the sensory table is always an interesting sensory experience.

The children are encouraged to begin to dress themselves and participate in cleaning up after activites. These responsibilites are a foundation for building better self-help skills. In order for a child to feel competent within the world around them they first need to feel confident about themselves. It is our goal to help the toddler start this journey.
